In a unexpected collaboration that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Uncovered

According to the authorized statement, "An unusual meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret sect.

The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Changes

The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an special katana in addition to multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This update also brings the game's newest no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
