A Second-Half Capitulation Leads to Old Firm Disaster

Nancy’s Persistent Belief

Nancy highlights the fact Celtic can perform strongly for one half at a time. In fact, were it not for missed chances they could have been greater than 1-0 up. “There were positives aside from the fact that we haven’t scored our chances,” he said. “I acknowledge that we lost, but it's important to stay balanced.

“The performance we had at stages was of top quality. That happened. I wouldn't speak so positively if it was not the case. But that’s why, regarding outcomes, I said we've seen this before. Which is why I feel a change is coming to things turning around. Currently: small things.”

“We produced plenty of positives that we did, like today again. But now it’s about sustaining it. My message would change if I didn't believe it. Therefore I firmly believe the team can to get back on track.”

Röhl’s Cautious Stance

Danny Röhl was cautious about a championship push in spite of what appeared to be a statement victory. “One match at a time, then we can really build up something here,” he said. “The belief in the team is immense.”
